Recently, Demi Lovato announced that she would be leaving social media for good. However, after about 24 hours, many of her fans and haters are shocked to see that she has returned to social media already. Demi Lovato announced her return on Twitter. Not only was the actor and singer armed with a few words against her haters, but she also had quite a bit to say about society’s obsession with celebrities and its ignorance of issues of greater importance.

Lovato’s hiatus from social media was sparked by Internet trolls. After shutting down her social media accounts, Lovato made a return after a day and said, “[Expletive] this.. I’m back [expletive]. And I’m coming back more honest than ever.” Without a doubt, Demi Lovato has lived up to her promise so far.

“The world is weird,” Lovato tweeted. “I bet our country knows more about celebrities than they know about what’s happening overseas or global warming.” She also noted that it is hypocritical that many people hate tabloids and paparazzi yet still want to know about the latest celebrity gossip.

To prove her point about society’s ignorance, Demi Lovato posted a poll asking her followers if they can name at least one person on the FBI’s Top Ten fugitive list or all of the exes of Justin Bieber. More than half of the voters admitted they know all of Beiber’s former girlfriends. A quarter of voters admitted that they didn’t even know what the FBI’s Top Ten fugitive list is.
