R. Kelly’s 10 Most Depraved Crimes Will Make You Sick

Source: GQ

There isn’t an American who has turned on pop radio over the last 25 years who isn’t familiar with the music of R. Kelly. Known for numerous major hit singles, including I Believe I Can Fly, Ignition, Gotham City, and If Could Turn Back the Hands of Time, Kelly has recorded 14 solo albums and sold over 100 million records worldwide.

Kelly has won numerous awards, getting nods from institutions such as the Grammies, Billboard, Soul Train, BET, the American Music Awards, and the NAACP. Rolling Stone Magazine recently named him the 80th best songwriter of all time, placing him higher on the list than Marvin Gaye and Otis Blackwell.  With the amount of success (and money) society has thrown his way, it’s easy to think of R. Kelly as something of an American cultural institution.

However, America is ignoring R. Kelly’s dark history of depraved crimes. While he was cementing a public legacy with his music, he was creating a twisted private legacy on the bodies of teenage girls across the country. R. Kelly may be a gifted songwriter, but he is also an unrepentant monster, and we’ve got the evidence to prove it.

R. Kelly turned 50 years old on January 8th.  In “honor” of his half-century on earth, join us as we highlight the lives he’s ruined.
